Lorraine
Travel exclusively uses the SABRE reservation system, which
is considered the travel industry’s most advanced
and totally integrated computerized reservation system (CRS).
Created by American Airlines, SABRE was the first-ever CRS
and currently provides a “co-host” relationship
with over 67 principal air carriers including seat availability
and fare information. Additionally, SABRE provides
“direct access” to over 400 airlines, hotel
properties and car rental companies. Direct-access allows
SABRE to by-pass intermediary computer systems and sell
seats, rooms, cars, etc. directly from a supplier’s
inventory. We connect to SABRE via the internet and
should connectivity problems arise, we have full back-up
systems and technological elements in place to limit the
amount if down time to a minimum. We have a long history
of accounting excellence and experience, having been the
first travel company in South Florida to automate most of
the accounting functions including a seamless interface
with our GDS.
Lorraine
Travel utilizes TRAMS, a proprietary back office system
that coordinates billing with applicable reservation and
ticket data. The system will allow a Centrally Billed Account
(CBA) to serve as a method to book reservations and automatically
bill the government’s charge card vendor (eg. American
Express & Diners) for such reservations. The system
produces significant data, which can be reconciled with
the charge card vendor’s electronic billing statement
to verify proper debiting and crediting of all used and
unused travel arrangements. Further mroe the system allows
manual alteration of data contained in the ticketing file
as well as the charge card vendors billing file. Specifically
the system allows the adjustment of the dollar values for
both debit and credit transaction based upon the dollar
values reflected on the travel documents retained by us.
Our
agency agrees to use Centrally Billed Account (CBA) reconciliation
for all our clients. We will provide the results of
the reconciliations to Federal Agencies within the
timeframe instructed. In addition to automatic reconciliation,
we agree to provide research and other assistance that may
be required to support and resolve any reconciliation issues.
